I.S. Mäkinen is currently seeking Chief Interior Constrction Designer and Interior Construction Designer

Our Newbuilding department is looking for Chief Interior Designer and Interior Designer, who participate in ship interior design and planning. Our projects cover design, procurement and delivery of cruise passenger ships’ interiors, including accommodation, public and galley areas. The positions are located in Turku and require regular travelling, especially to China for our current projects.

You have experience in ship interior design or similar. You have the ability to produce, read and comment on drawings. You understand procurement processes and you can assist the procurement department by defining the requirements for material purchasing. You effectively negotiate and communicate in written and spoken English; the knowledge of Chinese language is an additional plus. Your IT skills are good and you have a good command of AutoCAD or similar, as well as Word, Excel and MS Project.
